The Hult Prize Taiwan

Apr. 9th was the final of Taiwan Regional Hult Prize Competition. In the 2021 Hult Prize Taiwan Regional Summit, the winner team was selected. They will represent Taiwan to compete with teams from the rest of the world in London.

The Hult Prize is the world's biggest student entrepreneurship competition which is also known as “Nobel Prize for Students”. Each year students respond to a global challenge co-issued by the United Nations by proposing a social enterprise and compete for 1 million USD in prize money as their startup fund.

The Hult prize has reached over 50,000 students, 6,000 universities, 100 countries and made of 10 million USD of investment. It inspires the next wave of social entrepreneurs to envision their own possibilities as leaders to change the world around them.

Due to the success of Taiwan’s epidemic prevention, we have the opportunity to hold Impact Summit of the Hult Prize in Taipei for the first time. Not only the world beheld Taiwan’s university students’ capability of organizing such an international event, but we also have the chance to take part in this meaningful activity.

Both Jonnesway and Tai-Fu Startup Association sponsored the event, and several successful companies did the same under the advocacy of Mr. Liao, like ViewSonic, EasyCard, etc. In addition, Mr. Liao took the initiation to establish mentor system, matching outstanding entrepreneurs to coach the teams from NTU, helping them to develop their business, such as business model, profit model, and so on, making their plan down to earth.

In the Hult Prize Taiwan Regional Summit, the winner team was selected. They are “Inter Wellness” from NTU, coached by the founder of TutorABC, the biggest on-line English learning institute in Taiwan. Congratulate to them for winning the admission to London. We wish they will win the 1M USD prize money and successfully move from vision to reality. Change the world.
